Basic Pistol
Perfect practice makes perfect. Learning safe & proper techniques, nomenclature, function, operation, handling, storage, transportation, and cleaning will allow you to enjoy shooting sports so much more. Whether you are a novice or an expert, basic techniques are where you will build strong foundation and make improvements in your shooting skills.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an 8 hour course with both classroom time as well as range time. Students will receive the NRA Basic Pistol book, Safe Gun Handling Rules. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a Basic Pistol Completion Certificate.
PREREQUISITES: You must be a law abiding citizen with no prohibitions on possessing a firearm. Prerequisite skills: None. You may bring your own firearm to use (pending instructor inspection for safety and operation) or you may rent a firearm. Prior arrangement is necessary for rental.
AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS: Bring at least 50 rounds of good quality factory ammunition. If you are renting a gun, you will need to provide .22LR ammunition.
WHAT TO BRING: The range is indoors but is difficult to regulate the temperature. Please bring layers to stay comfortable.
